Purple Passage operates Once Upon a God and is the data controller for personal data processed through it. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect and why
- Usage and device data (pages visited, browser type, IP address) — to run, secure and improve the site. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Purchase details (name, email, order record) — to deliver your download and provide support. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Messages you send us — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
We do not require an account and we don't knowingly collect data from children; purchases should be made by an adult.
Who we share it with
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities, where required by law.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. We respond within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls.
